Mildred Eva Bissell (1912-2005)
Mildred Eva Bissell, daughter of Roy W. and Minnie (Follman) Holaday, was born on April 27, 1912 in Massena Township,
Cass County, Iowa. She passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Fontanelle, Iowa on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the
age of 92 years.
Mildred was united in marriage to Royce Bissell on March 25, 1935. They farmed
in Lincoln Township, Cass County, Iowa until moving to Greenfield in 1964. They raised six sons and Mildred provided exceptional
love and care to her family. As the boys had families of their own, her love touched her extended family as well.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Royce, in 1988; three sons: David, Bruce, and Charles Lynn;
four sisters: Elma, Marjorie, Ethel, and Amy; two brothers: William and Arthur; and grand-daghter, Karen Bissell. She is survived by her three sons: Richard and wife, Eleanor of Commerce City, CO, Byron and wife, Carla of Omaha,
NE and Norman and wife, Dawn of Iowa Falls, IA; her two daughters-in-law: Larita Lesan of Kellerton, IA and Linda Bissell
of Natchitoches, LA; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
